This handwoven cotton and silk scarf was inspired by a beautiful hand painted fine cotton warp from NC artist, Kathrin Weber of Blazing Shuttles. The body of warp was painted with shades of blue, aqua, turquoise and raspberry; the borders are solid cranberry and cobalt blue that complement the remainder of the warp. This scarf was woven with a very fine turquoise silk with accent stripes of blue purple on either end.
The scarf is very light (a mere 3 1/2 ounces), has a slightly crisp hand, and drapes beautifully. It is long and can be worn wrapped around your neck or worn doubled. It has a small 3/8" hem on either end.
