"Fibonacci Gold" - Hand Painted Cotton and Tencel Shawl/ Handwoven
One-of-a-kind handwoven shawl. Two hand painted, fine cotton warps, created by artist Kathrin Weber of Blazing Shuttles, were combined in this piece. Both warps combined luscious autumn colors. To these warps I added tiny accents of gold cotton to set off the warp stripes. The shawl was woven with a beautiful, fine tencel yarn that I hand dyed in a deep gold. The weave structure used twill stripes and boxes that emphasized the variegated yarn more on one side and the solid colored yarn more on the other, causing the two sides of the wrap to look different from each other.
The predominant colors in the scarf are rust, cranberry, copper, gold, and olive green.
Fiber content: Mercerized cotton and tencel*
Measures approximately 17 1/2" x 95” excluding the 5 ½” twisted fringe.

* Tencel is an environmentally friendly fiber made from wood pulp. It is easy-care, soft, silky, kind to the skin, and has a lovely sheen.
