Russet Leaves Merino Scarf - Handwoven
The inspiration for this scarf came from two beautiful skeins of merino yarn one of which was variegated mix of russet reds, rust, gold, blacks and grays, the other a mix of muted reds and rusts. I added a few accents of red bamboo to the warp. I wove the scarf with a fine rust tencel yarn to keep the hand of the scarf light and add a little sheen, and I added some subtle gray striping on one end of the scarf. I used a simple twill to show off the beautiful yarn in the warp. The scarf is a medium weight, has a lovely drape and hand and a hand-twisted fringe.
Content: Merino, bamboo, tencel*
Measures approx. 10 1/2" x 71" excluding the 4" twisted fringe
Care instructions: Hand wash
*Tencel is an environmentally friendly fiber that is made from wood pulp. It is easy-care, soft, silky, kind to the skin, and has a lovely sheen
